Special Buddies

Your special needs child is welcome at Cross Church NRH!
All ages

We have a Special Needs class every Sunday from 9:30 to 12 with a certified teacher who is educated in working with children that have special needs.  Come to the Children's counter upstairs for information. 

Every person has the ability to experience God in a special way. Our trained volunteers are ready to love your child and help maximize his or her experience at church. We work closely with parents to create an individualized program for each child based on his or her developmental ability.

Shadowing: Some special needs kids just need a helping hand. Trained adult and teen buddies serve as “shadows” enabling kids to participate in typical classes and KID Worship to his or her maximum ability.

Before your first visit, contact us at 817.284.9206 so we can learn about your child's specific needs and be prepared to welcome you and your child to Cross Church NRH. 

Our Special Needs Ministry is open to all ages and ability levels. The self-contained class meets in room 123-124 each week at 9:30 and 11:00am. Kids shadowed by a buddy meet in typical classrooms.
